Navigate to the Dashboard section in the left sidebar.
Click on the Internal transfer or Currency exchangebuttons, depending on the action you want to perform.
Complete the form.
Click Next, review the details, and confirm.

Outcome: A confirmation message is displayed, and the transaction will appear in the Transactions list with a Created status.

Internal Transfer

Moves funds between two accounts of the same currency. Settles instantly within Lorum.

Field	Required	Description
From account	✅	The source account from which the funds will be transferred.
To account	✅	The destination account to receive the funds. Both accounts must belong to your organisation and be in the same currency.
Amount	✅	The amount to transfer between the two accounts, expressed in the account currency.
External reference	✅	Your own unique reference for the transfer. This is stored with the transaction and can be used to reconcile the transfer with your internal systems.

Currency Exchange

Converts funds between two accounts holding different currencies using a live exchange rate.

Field	Required	Description
From account	✅	The source account from which the funds will be exchanged.
To account	✅	The destination account to receive the exchanged funds. The destination account must be in a different currency from the source account.
From amount	✅*	The amount to exchange from the source currency. Provide either the From amount or the To amount.
To amount	✅*	The amount to receive in the destination currency. Provide either the To amount or the From amount.
Exchange rate	—	Calculated automatically in real time once the accounts and either the From amount or To amount have been provided.
External reference	✅	Your own unique reference for the exchange. This is stored with the transaction and can be used to reconcile it with your internal systems.
