The Lorum sandbox allows you to simulate payment scheme actions directly from the portal. Use these to test your integration end-to-end without waiting for real scheme processing.

Simulate functions are only available in sandbox.

Simulate Inbound Payment

1. Navigate to the Accounts section and open the account you want to receive the simulated payment.
2. Click Create payment and select Simulate inbound payment from the actions menu.
3. Enter the amount and any other required fields.
4. Click Submit.

The account balance will update to reflect the simulated inbound payment and the transaction will appear in the account's transaction history.

Simulate Execute Outbound Payment

1. Navigate to the Transactions section and open the outbound payment you want to execute.
2. Click Simulations and select Simulate execute payment.

The payment status will update to Executed.

Simulate Fail Outbound Payment

1. Navigate to the Transactions section and open the outbound payment you want to fail.
2. Click Simulations and select Simulate fail payment.

The payment status will update to Failed.

Simulate Return Payment

1. Navigate to the Transactions section and open the outbound payment you want to return.
   1. The payment must be in an Executed state.
2. Click Simulations and select Simulate return payment.

The payment will be returned and an outbound_local_payment_returned webhook event will be fired if the Payments category is enabled.
